I have watched Catherine grow from a child performer to a professional dancer, singer and actor working in the UK and abroad and a superbly qualified teacher. She brings an authenticity, passion, and dedication to everything she does. Her knowledge, people skills and positive mindset are the qualities she passes on to her students alongside everything else they need to be successful in the entertainment industry. Catherine’s sense of fairness and desire for all to benefit, whether they wish to pursue a career in entertainment or just have fun and gain confidence is what sets her apart. Catherine was my dance teacher for many years. Each week I looked forward to my lessons, mainly because of Cath’s enthusiasm and positive attitude; she never fails to brighten the day of those around her. She works incredibly hard and pays great attention to detail but does so with a smile on her face. In the years I spent with her as my teacher, my confidence grew immensely, due to the gentle encouragement that she gave me.
Catherine cares deeply about each individual child that she teaches, even after they have moved on. When I moved to Nottingham for university and did not know where to study dance, she was the first person I contacted for advice on where to continue lessons as an adult.
I am now studying towards a PhD in children’s literature, but my love for dancing that Catherine helped to tease out remains. Her classes taught me the importance of hard work, discipline, love for what you are doing, and to always maintain a sense of humour. I honestly believe without her lessons I would not have succeeded as much socially, academically, and in dance. Catherine is a truly inspiring individual, and I maintain that she is one of the best dance teachers (or any type of teacher, for that matter!) that I have ever had.
I met Cath when she was training in Liverpool. She is a great talent and incredibly passionate about musical theatre. She is a perfectionist who never fails to hit the mark!
Catherine is truly one of the best teachers I have ever had. Her passionate, thorough approach to teaching taught me great dance technique and wonderful work ethic. Catherine supported me throughout the process of deciding whether a performance career was the right choice. Without her help and positivity, I might never have had the confidence to undertake full-time, professional musical theatre training. I have since trained at London Studio Centre and worked for some of the biggest entertainment companies in the world, including Disney. Ten years later, I still talk about Catherine as an inspiration. I would not be where I am today without the optimism that she instilled into my performance education.
